Bodybuilding routine momentum

It is quite easy for anyone to walk into any gym around the globe and immediately start lifting weights on the first day. But what is important to understand is that form and posture are far more important than building muscle. If you are in for the aesthetics, this isn’t the thing for you. Lifters who have been in this game for quite some time understand the importance that is laid upon the correct posture and contraction of muscles.

The purpose of lifting weights is to stimulate muscle growth which people who are new do not understand. But even the lifters who are in the game for quite some time lose their momentum. They are unable to keep up with their bodybuilding routine beyond a certain point. However, this doesn’t mean all is lost. There are a few simple ways in which you can regain and then maintain your bodybuilding routine and momentum and achieve the results you are looking for.

The most important thing is to leave your ego outside before entering the gym. For most men, it is important to feel like the strongest man in the room and so when they find someone who is stronger than them, it gives way to unhealthy competition. When inside the gym, the only competitor you must have is yourself. The most common machine to use for bodybuilding is the bench press. Now, what most bodybuilders don’t understand is that when you lower the weight, you are not supposed to quickly pop it back up, as that is bad for the tendons, ligaments and the sternum.

Next is the use of excessively heavy weights. Most people assume that the heavier the weight they lift, the better the results will be. But they forgot one important factor in the equation: the form. Good form combined with heavy weights can indeed show better results but should the form be bad, it can cause adverse effects, like ligament tears, tendon tears and even muscle tear. Ouch, huh?

Repetition is important. One, two, three. One, two, three. It may be boring but it helps retain one’s momentum. It puts you into a habit when striving for body mass and muscle maximization.

So, to conclude, there are mistakes that even the most skilled and experienced bodybuilders make, problems that can easily be avoided to carry on with your bodybuilding routine and momentum. To sum it up, you should curb your ambitions to what you can achieve. Get the form right and the rest will follow!
